Welcome to the STOS MEGA list. If your interested in STOS, from beginner to expert, All are welcome to talk STOS. MEGA DEMO CODERS - My FTP is private and it is not to be passed onto anyone without my permission. All transfers are logged so be warned! Access to my FTP is for developers only. You will have your own folder to upload code for review and assistance from other members. List only members can post source to the list to swap files etc. Please dont post massive files to the list as some people are still on dial-up. To open up a FTP account E-mail myself Privately and I will set you up with your own FTP space. This space is limited and not to be abused. A reminder that FTP access is for developers for the MEGA DEMO project only. STOS and COMPILER folders have been uploaded. You MUST use these folders. Any ADDITIONAL extensions you need to use please let the group know and upload those extensions so we will all be using the same STOS setup!

STEEM! The project is designed to run under the STEEM Emulator. As such are not limited to CPU SPEED and MEMORY! These are the two main causes which cripple STOS on most ST demos. Some code won't run at 40mhz (the proposed speed), things like the Spectrum (SPC) files become corrupt if running in other than 8mhz (normal ST). Raster code and borders will also be effected. We are all looking into these things and fixes and workaround will be posted in due course. The aim is to create code which will run on a normal ST 8mhz, Though extra features will become available under steem, such as faster CPU and RAM, this opens up a whole new world for STOS coders. Workarounds and fixes are needed and will be solved in due course. Any questions or problems post to the list and ask.

Please keep up-to-date with posts for further information. The list normally has a few posts a day so you should be able to keep up, and please do keep up to avoid repeat questions!
